According to a video interview on loose women, Penny Lancaster explained how being on lockdown caused her to overeat and gain a lot of weight. She finally decided to shame herself into losing weight by taking pictures of her body and she managed to lose over 17 lbs in just 8 weeks by eating healthy and exercising.
During the interview, Penny also stated that menapause was partly to blame for her emotional eating along with fear of covid!
“During the lockdown I found myself entering my menopause and the side effects were exaggerated by the anxiety and fear for the virus and the unknown.”
She explained how she started a new diet and exercise plan which helped her lose 4 inches of fat around her waistline.
“I turned to food and drink as comfort and gained over a stone. As a wake up call I shamed [myself] by taking a photo. It worked and with a new diet and exercise, I lost 17lb and 4in off my waist in eight weeks!”
