Turmeric has been used for centuries as a spice and herb to treat and cure common skin and health issues. Due to its high anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory qualities, turmeric can help you ward off colds, flu symptoms, and sore throat along with infections. Use the following ingredients below to make your immune-boosting tea.

  • 2 inches of ginger root
  • 2 inches of turmeric root

Squeeze the lemon juice and set it aside, cut the ginger into thin slices, grate the turmeric root with the skin on. In a large tea kettle, add in the water, turmeric, ginger, lemon peel, cayenne pepper, and black pepper and let it boil, lower the heat and simmer for an extra 7 minutes before turning off the heat.

Once warm enough to drink, add in the lemon juice, oil, and honey, stir until combined correctly, and drink this tea 3-4 times per day to strengthen your immune system and help you reduce your cold or flu symptoms.
