One of my favorite seasons of the year is winter, not the ice-cold stormy weather, just when it rains. It somehow improves my mood and makes me less fussy. I am sure that’s the point of it right? I guess I’m stating the obvious here. Anyway, please enjoy these handpicked aesthetics.
12 Rainy Day Aesthetics To Comfort You
So the following rainy day aesthetics I’ve compiled from Pinterest and Unsplash, I dint take any of the images myself so for the ones without copyright, I won’t add a link. The ones from Pinterest though will have a link that you can click through to view the original sources.
You can also check out my other post on dark winter aesthetics since you are in the winter mood. So in no particular order, please enjoy…
There is just something about this image that makes me wonder about all the beautiful things in life. I found this one on Unsplash and just knew I had to add it to the list. This is a fallen tree branch that is dead or dying but yet, the leaf is still hanging on to life. Even plants hang on to something! Think about it.
Do you ever wonder how many people wake up early every morning, get dressed and leave to fulfill their obligations regardless of the weather? Yep! This picture is dark and gloomy but it gives you a sense of how people go about their lives even at 5 am in the morning. Life never stops happening even in the still of this image it shows.
Have you ever been out and about, sitting in the passenger seat while reminiscing and watching the taillights or cars during a pouring rain? It brings on a very calming effect so you definitely need to try it. This rainy-day aesthetic reminds me crave winter.
Who knew that umbrellas could create such an amazing effect right? The lights reflecting on the umbrellas during a light drizzle can make you appreciate how little things we take for granted can severely impact our lives.
I know I promised that this post would be about comforting rainy-day aesthetics but I cheated on this one! This image actually makes me feel sad. I look at the leaves and think about all the ways they serve us, everything they stand for, and how they make our lives soo much better.
To see them lying in a pile of water, all broken and smashed up reminds me of how short life is! How we’ve all lost soo many wonderful people during our lifetime.
If you havent tried it already, you absolutely need to! Find a quiet place in your home that is situated near the window, cut off all the lights and light a single candle. Grab a blanket plus your favorite book and listen to the rain hitting your window pane. This is what this image spoke to me! (Don’t forget a cup of hot coffee).
I am not a tea lover but I think I’ll reconsider adding some to my diet this season. Somehow, this aesthetic makes tea more enticing to me. It’s amazing how images can impact our way of thinking. I have no idea what those flowers are near the cup but imagine smelling them!
There is nothing more beautiful than having the person of your dreams by your side while it’s raining outside. That said, this picture I found on Pinterest shows that you can still enjoy a rainy day with a hot cup of cocoa while appreciating the beauty around you.
I found this cute picture on Pinterest and it drew me in right away. These cute little love birds remind me of a time when love was in the air! It’s so sad how time passes by and you wish that you held on to the most important parts of it. That said, this picture gives me hope that love still exists.
Halloween is right around the corner and these hues of yellow and brown leaves just fit right in with the occasion. I saw this on Unsplash and just knew I had to add it to my list.
Fall is a beautiful time of the year, all those rich colors, the wind blowing, and leaves flying all around you while you’re out and about, make you feel thankful for being alive. What’s even more awesome is watching raindrops falling on colorful leaves. That’s why I chose this aesthetic.
Now, this one looks like it’s snowing outside but it’s actually just the thickness of the window that creates such an illusion. What else can you do on a rainy day besides reading your favorite book, having a lit candle close by, and having a hot cup of chocolate right? Uggh!
